Tour Overview

Why you'll love this tour

The Marine Eco Adventure is a fresh, sea-sprayed outing from the V&A Waterfront into Table Bay, with Table Mountain rising behind you and the chance to spot dolphins, seals, penguins, seabirds and other marine life along the way.

It is perfect if you want time on the water without giving up a whole day. The route changes with sea conditions and recent wildlife activity, which gives each trip its own sense of discovery.

Some days the bay is full of movement, and some days nature keeps things quieter. Either way, the boat ride, ocean air, crew knowledge and views back towards Cape Town make this a lovely way to see the city from a completely different angle.

Trip Itinerary

We’ll meet you at the V&A Waterfront at your chosen departure time — typically in the late morning — for a quick safety briefing before boarding your eco-boat. As we head out into Table Bay, take a moment to drink in the iconic waterfront scenery and shifting ocean hues.

Once offshore, keep your camera ready! The bay supports a thriving ecosystem where pods of dolphins often swim alongside the vessel, Cape fur seals bask on rocky outcrops, and playful African penguins bob in the surf. A kaleidoscope of pelagic birdlife and, at certain times of year, larger ocean creatures like sunfish or even whales share this rich marine world with us.

While scanning the water, you’ll also be treated to sweeping sights back towards Cape Town’s iconic landmarks — from the flat-topped glory of Table Mountain to historic Robben Island — making it a perfect blend of wildlife and scenic beauty.

After 90 minutes of eco cruising and discovery, we’ll return you to the V&A Waterfront with fresh memories and photos that capture both the playful creatures and spectacular seascapes of the Cape’s coastal waters.
